REMINDER:
Next week, Monday Dec 10, will be the Holiday Season Party. Please feel free to come early and join the juniors. The seniors club will enjoy casual chess.

The following week, Monday Dec 17, will also be an open night. I'd like to suggest a 3-round rapid tournament for those who can make it (25 minutes per person). Rounds start at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 pm. Games will end by 10:30. We may do 4-player round robin sections, or a single swiss section, depending on the turnout and player preferences. Let me know what you think/prefer.

Hope to see you guys next week!

Also note that we have 2 weeks left after this tournament is over. The Juniors are having a Holiday Season Party on Monday Dec 10, starting 6 pm. All are welcome to join. It'll just be an open night for chess.

Dec 17 will be the last meeting for the year, again an open night for chess. There will be no tournament rounds this day. But I'm open to suggestions, if people want to do anything specific (like a Blitz Tournament, maybe?).

There will be NO CHESS on Dec 24 and Dec 31. We'll resume with Round 1 of the Kingston Chess Club Championship on Monday, January 7.

We are still waiting results for Sid Anjivel vs. Huxley Anjilvel, before we can post the final Round 5 pairings. But it looks like the tournament leaders Azroy Kandan and Dave Gordon, both with 3.5 points, will be playing for the championship. We could see a 3-way or 4-way tie if the tournament leaders wind up with a draw.

Stay tuned for the final Round 5 pairings coming soon.
