Another Classical Night Tomorrow (August 5th)

 Hi everyone. There was enough interest to run the chess club tomorrow despite it being a civic holiday.

Since it is the first Monday of the month, we will be doing another classical tournament, with time control of 60+15. I will bring scoresheets as before. If you attended the previous classical week, I will try to pair you with a different opponent.

No Chess Canada day + Classical announcement

 Hi everyone, this is a reminder that there is no chess tomorrow as it is Canada Day. 

Additionally, when we resume on the 8th of July, we will be trying a new time control format to get one long (classical) game. The time control will likely be something like 60+15. If all goes well, we could start doing it once per month (first Monday of each month). The rest of the weeks will still be the standard 10+5 mini-tourneys.

P.S: On the 8th as it is classical, you're invited to bring a pen or pencil and a scoresheet to record your game. I'll try to bring extras to give away as well.

Family Day February 19, 2024 - No Chess

 Chess will be closed for Family Day and will  resume February 26th, 2024. 

Chess Club Closed for the Holidays

 Hi everyone, the youth section will be closed the following Mondays:

December 18th,

December 25th,

January 1st.

We will be back on January 8th.

The last meeting of the year (at 7:15) will still take place on the 18th, but the non-youth section will also be closed on the 25th and January 1st.
